I went to the book launch of Coffee Shop North, mostly because my illustration was in the book that was being promoted! The exhibition was nice enough but, as anticipated I didn't make the most of it. The show was small and very crowded and I wasn't sure where to start when it came to talking to other people in such an incredibly compact space. I need to get over these fears so I can network in person because emails aren't going to cut it forever!
I still have the same feelings about the illustration for the project and don't think it looked any better in print- in fact the illustration was condensed right down. I can't overthink it, and I'm not offended, but maybe if I had done a better job it would have been printed bigger like the others!
