There is a lot I like about Mendoza's work! The first thing I notice is the textural quality of her work. It's clear that she has been experimental in her mark making but is now able to refine it to suit her. Colour is also key. Colours like the above feel passionate and bright but stay balanced and clean with the white space.

But sometimes her colour takes over the whole image and works nonetheless. Her use of movement is so fluid and dynamic and pieces like these feel so exciting and fresh to look at!
